It is this functionality of the chair that brings the average cost of dispatch chairs to $1300+, with an upper bar of $3500-$4000 (for models with built-in microelectronics).

The maximum load of a chair is calculated by the weakest element in a chair. In dispatch chairs, these elements are synchromechanisms, thanks to which the chair has many convenient adjustments. Synchromechanisms in control room chairs can withstand no more than 150 kg. In a cheap chair with a supposedly maximum load of 200-250 kg the load is calculated based on the average values of the loads on each element, or at most there is a standard office synchromechanism with strengthening. It is worth noting that there are only a few models of operator chairs on the market that can withstand a load of 200-250 kg. And their cost starts from $2500-$3000. Therefore, a load of 150 kg is an honest figure that reflects reality, which you can rely on, in contrast to the bloated "marketing" figure of 200 kg.
